POLISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM





1. The Kindergarten upbringing.
1.      Kindergartens.
2.      Kindergartens classes in Primary Schools.
3.      Different forms of kindergarten upbringing in different places with kindergarten upbringing elements.

2. The first and the second educational stage (The first stage – integrated skills education, the second stage – module education) – PRIMARY SCHOOLS (six-year-education).


1.      available for all people;
2.      schools for children with special needs;
3.      integration schools;
4.      available for all people with integration classes;
5.      Primary Sport Schools;
6.      Sport Champions’ Primary Schools.

3.      The third education stage - GIMNAZJUM (three-year-education).

1.       available for all people;

4.      bilingual schools;
5.      available for all people with integration classes;
6.      available for all people with bilingual classes;
7.      available for all people with sport classes;
7.      available for all people with classes which prepare to work;
8.      Gimnazjum Sport Schools;
9.      Sport Champions’ Gimnazjum.

4.      Schools after Gimnazjum – Secondary Schools.


1.      available for all people;
2.      schools for children with special needs;
3.      integration schools;
4.      bilingual schools;
5.      available for all people with integration classes;
6.      available for all people with bilingual classes;
7.      available for all people with sport classes;
8.      Secondary Sport Schools;
9.      Sport Champions’ Secondary Schools

INSIDE THOSE SECONDARY SCHOOLS THERE ARE:

a)      occupation schools – they last 2 or 3 years – after finishing those schools students get their occupation, they are not able to take A-level, but they can go on to other schools (ments entioned in letters ‘e’ and ‘f’,
b)      comprehensive secondary schools – they last 3 years - after finishing those schools students are able to take A-level exam;
c)      comprehensive secondary schools connected with occupation subjects – they last 3 years - after finishing those schools students are able to take A-level exam;
d)     technics secondary schools - – they last 4 years - after finishing those schools students are able to take A-level exam, they also get an occupation;
e)      supplementary comprehensive schools for occupatiin school-leavers – they last 2 years - after finishing those schools students are able to take A-level exam;
f)       supplementary technics schools for occupatiin school-leavers – they last 3 years - supplementary comprehensive schools for occupatiin school-leavers – they last 2 years - after finishing those schools students are able to take A-level exam;
g)      schools after comprehensive schools – they last 2,5 years - after finishing those schools students aget an occupation;
h)      special schools for students with special needs – they last 3 years - they prepare to work
